The spaniard is followed on the first row by Casey Stoner and Marco Melandri.

This is the third pole position staight for Dani Pedrosa this season. Nevertheless the spaniard will have a tough job to win with the very fast Casey Stoner aside hime, and Marco melandri in third position.
Fourth of this session and opening the second row,Randy De Puniet on the Kawasaki come along his team mate Anthony West fifth. The Kawasaki ZX-RR is obviously good on this track. To end this second row, Nicky Hayden on the HRC Honda is sixth.
The third row of the starting grid will finaly been composed by Chris Vermeulen is once again ahead his team mate (John Hopkins 10e), Toni Elias who could reach the 8th position and at last Valentino Rossi who only could only made the 9th lap time. The two Yamaha riders was very disappointed about the front grip of the bike, more, several riders also said that the new tarmac of Sepang was not so good.
