Jorge Lorenzo has made the best lap time during the first qualifying session. The spaniard is followed Hector Barbera and Alex De Angelis.

Fifth of this session Marco Simocelli with Gilera is followed by Alvaro Bautista, Hiroshi Aoyama and at last Julian Simon.
Shuhei Aoyama and Mika Kallio end the top 10.
