This crash took place just few minutes before the end of the session.
Marco Simoncelli was riding his Gilera to the limit and was a little bit optimistic. He slide off the track and high sided. He could avoid the crash but for him all was OK.

Simoncelli's crash took place just at the outside of a corner, before a straight line. The Gilera continued his slide in the middle of the track in big cloud of dust so it was impossible for the following riders to see the bike.

Taro Sekiguchi, pushing hard came out of the corner and see at the latest moment the Gilera lying on the track.

The choc was unavoidable.
Like a springboard, Simoncelli's bike sent Taro Sekiguchi and his bike high in a terrifying jump.
The rider fell on the floor very hardly, on his hips, he slide couple of meters completly motionless...

Fortunately, Taro Sekiguchi woke up few minutes after at the Clinica Mobile, then was immediatly sent to the nearer hospital.
According to the last informations, no internal organs are touched, but Taro Sekiguchi suffers of two broken ribs, and also broken pelvis.

About www.motorcyclists-online.com English version:
At the beginning, in 2001, www.motorcyclists-online.com was an exclusive French Motorcycle website. Now, since September 2005, it has become bilingual: English speaking people are welcome !
We do believe, at www.motorcyclists-online.com, that linguistic boundaries are not a problem when we share the same passion for bikes.
We are currently working on translating all articles and contents, to finish the UK/US version. You will certainly notice some bugs or translation errors: please do not hesitate to advise us by e-mail, Private Message or by posting in the Forum. Your help is welcome !
For the moment, articles which haven’t been human translated are automatically machine translated, which I must confess is not really famous, but faster than human translators.
