At last he has won at Brands!! James Toseland ran at the front during all the race after 5 first laps of madness...
Its Troy Bayliss who made the hole shot followed by Troy Corser, James Toseland and Noriyuki Haga.
The fourth firsts started a great battle, Toseland quickly second ahead Corser and ready to start the fight against Bayliss.
And at the Druides corner, Toseland was able to pass Bayliss after a little contact, the two Yamahas just behind waiting for their hour...

Then Bayliss was attacked by Haga, the japanese passed in force and hit Bayliss, the Ducati slowed down by that been passed by Corser... And all that in just four laps...

The announced duel, Bayliss/Toseland was finaly very short, in the fifth lap, Bayliss, very motivated, and extremely fast missed his braking at Druides corner and fell down...

So for the three firsts rider the positions were stucked. Toseland first Haga second and Corser third, but Haga finaly made a mistake and went in the gravel, the japanes could restart 11th and finaly finished 7th.

So to see some fight we must look behind, the battle was hard between Kagayama and Xaus, slowly catched up by a very impressive Biaggi.
The three riders fough each other during several laps before Biaggi passed Xaus and Kagayama. Then the two Alstare riders finaly escape from the spaniard.
The duel between the two Suzuki riders continued but at the advantage for Biaggi.
Kagayama had a big crash in the last laps, his bike was destroyed and Yukio stayed a long time on the floor but finaly could stand up without injuries. He will take part to the second race.

So the Podium is composed by Toseland first, Corser and Biaggi. Xaus finishes fourth ahead Fabrizio and Rolfo,

1- Toseland J. Honda 36'35.120
« I've waited ten years for this win, since I race in 600cc. The crowd, the atmosphere, all is fantastic here, and it was hard to concentrate. At Silverstone we had some difficulties to find the settings but here all went fine, I saw that the gap was regular and I manage to maintain it and I won. »

2- Corser T. Yamaha 36'36.674
« A tough weekend, it was difficult to find the right setting but we were able to find it. James was very fast, but I am happy with this podium. »

3- Biaggi M. Suzuki 36'38.037
« I am very happy about this result, Yukio made a little mistake but we had a great fight, at the begining it was a little tough because I was far but I wasa able to pass.... this track is much more difficult than Laguna Seca, many blind corners and very hilly. But it was great to ride here. »

About www.motorcyclists-online.com English version:
At the beginning, in 2001, www.motorcyclists-online.com was an exclusive French Motorcycle website. Now, since September 2005, it has become bilingual: English speaking people are welcome !
We do believe, at www.motorcyclists-online.com, that linguistic boundaries are not a problem when we share the same passion for bikes.
We are currently working on translating all articles and contents, to finish the UK/US version. You will certainly notice some bugs or translation errors: please do not hesitate to advise us by e-mail, Private Message or by posting in the Forum. Your help is welcome !
For the moment, articles which haven’t been human translated are automatically machine translated, which I must confess is not really famous, but faster than human translators.
