The most important news, except the performances of WSBK riders is the official annoucement by the FIM of the new 2008 rules.

Big point is the displacement, 1200cc are allowed to race for next season, but with a weight of 168kg (162 for 4cylinders). The weight could be adjusted during the season by more or less 3 kg.

The tuning rules will be the same for both 4 and 2 cylinders, For 2008 and 2009 all manufacturers, irrespective of their total production numbers, will have to produce a minimum of 1000 bikes in order to get an homologation. For 2010 onwards the minimum production number will be increased to 3000 bikes.

The complete set of the new 2008 Superbike technical rules will be issued by FIM during next week.

Now the Superpole, Corser finaly beats Bayliss for 156 thousands, Haga is third followed by a James Toseland better with qualifying tyres.

On second row Max Biaggi will make as he is accustomed, all he could to go up front. Followed by Lorenzo Lanzi, Ruben Xaus and his team mate at Alstare Yukio Kagayama.

The races of tomorrow promises to be great battles between Bayliss and Corser...

About www.motorcyclists-online.com English version:
At the beginning, in 2001, www.motorcyclists-online.com was an exclusive French Motorcycle website. Now, since September 2005, it has become bilingual: English speaking people are welcome !
We do believe, at www.motorcyclists-online.com, that linguistic boundaries are not a problem when we share the same passion for bikes.
We are currently working on translating all articles and contents, to finish the UK/US version. You will certainly notice some bugs or translation errors: please do not hesitate to advise us by e-mail, Private Message or by posting in the Forum. Your help is welcome !
For the moment, articles which haven’t been human translated are automatically machine translated, which I must confess is not really famous, but faster than human translators.
