Troy Corser was able to make the fastest lap during the second qualifying session determining the sixteen rider who will compete for the superpole.
He is followed by Toseland and Bayliss.

Troy Corser has made the best lap in 1:24.731, the only other rider to beat the 1.24 barrier was James Toseland, and was also leader until the last minutes of the session.

In third position Troy Bayliss in 1:25.295 his yesterday's lap time, fourth is Ruben Xaus despite a little crash at the end of the session.

At last Biaggi who has to learn the track is only 10th.
