Behind him Fabien Foret did a great race and take the second position after a fantastic finish with Anthony West.

Kenan Sofuoglu has won the World Supersport race by a comfortable four second margin. Second place went down to the wire, with Fabian Foret beating Yamaha stand-in Anthony West by just hundredths of a second. Gianluca Nanelli was fourth, Veneman fifth and Fujiwara sixth.
Charpentier crashed in the closing laps while fighting for third, Parkes pulled out with mechanical problems after leading in the opening laps, and Harms was unharmed after a spectacular highside exiting Lesmo.
