Not like Sébastien Charpentier, Kenan Sofuoglu was able to improve his lap time and win the pole position, he will be followed by the current double world champion Charpentier and Katsuaki Fujiwara. To end this first row, Broc Parkes on the Yamaha.
In second row Nanelli on the Ducati was able to be faster than Foret on his Kawasaki who will start from the sixth position.The second row is rounded out by Veneman and Roccoli.
To finish, Pere Riba, team mate of Foret is only 13th followed by the substitute of Curtain, Anthony West 14th.
