James Toseland was the fastest, followed by Lorenzo Lanzi and Troy Bayliss.

The three favourites for the title are on the first row of the starting grid. James Toseland like in demontration, ahead a motivated Lanzi. Behind them Bayliss is under pressure but well placed and Biaggi was able to do a great job after his not so good two first days.
On the second row, Ruben Xaus always in good shape is followed by Neukirchner quite good after his beautiful race at Le Mans. And at last in 8th position, Yukio Kagayama, which is starting (we hope so) his return at his first level.
Little deception for Haga, third at the championship classification, he was not able to do better than the 15th position.
