After a good first part of first lap, on the hard braking after the big straight line, the Kawasaki rider, Olivier Jacque has litteraly made a « Gibernau-isation » of the middle group, by completely missing his brake marker.
He throw out three riders and him. But what happened? Explainations :

"I am really sorry about what happened and there are no excuses: I made a mistake. I got a decent start and I was feeling good. It was a big group and I saw a good opportunity to make places up after the fast turn into the chicane. I was in the middle of the group and I missed my braking marker and when I braked it was too late. There was no space. I had no way out and couldn’t avoid touching Edward’s rear wheel. I made high flight and landed on my coccyx. I thought I had broken it, as it was really painful, but luckily it is not. Now I still feel a little bit dizzy but I feel even worse for the team as we had worked really hard throughout the weekend and the bike was feeling very good. I’m really looking forward to China to work even harder and reward them.”

Even if Vermeulen restarted, and made the best lap in race (motivated guy!), Edwards had to retire, and Dani Pedrosa stay on the floor...
The Honda rider after his fall, could not breath normally and had a painful neck.
Result, thoracic trauma, cervical distortion and a bruised hip, the Spainish rider will make an MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) today.
But finally the main thing is that Pedrosa has no broken bones and will probably race at Shanghai.

« Its sad to have gave up today. I think I had a possibility to do a good result here. » Said Pedrosa « It seems that this track bring me bad luck. I did a bad start, my rear will spined, and I lost some positions that brings me in the middle group. And on the last part of the track after the big straight, I was hit and I fell.
I have a pain in the neck and in the chest, and I will make some exams tomorrow (today), but I should be OK for Chine. »

About www.motorcyclists-online.com English version:
At the beginning, in 2001, www.motorcyclists-online.com was an exclusive French Motorcycle website. Now, since September 2005, it has become bilingual: English speaking people are welcome !
We do believe, at www.motorcyclists-online.com, that linguistic boundaries are not a problem when we share the same passion for bikes.
We are currently working on translating all articles and contents, to finish the UK/US version. You will certainly notice some bugs or translation errors: please do not hesitate to advise us by e-mail, Private Message or by posting in the Forum. Your help is welcome !
For the moment, articles which haven’t been human translated are automatically machine translated, which I must confess is not really famous, but faster than human translators.
