Jorge Lorenzo hold the lead after his victory at Losail, and take a good advantage on his other contenders by taking the proviional pole position.
He is followed by Marco Simoncelli and Hector Barbera.

Behind the three riders comes the never-changing Roberto Locatelli on his Gilera followed by shuhei Aoyama, first rider representind Honda.
Alvaro Bautista is the best rookie of the session with the 7th position, whereas Thomas Lüthi who finished the Qatar GP in fourth place takes the 10th position just behind Andrea Dovizioso.
Deception for KTM, the Astrians bikes could not make as good as the 125cc KTM.
Kallio is 12 and Hiroshi Aoyama is 15.
