Read 1908 times (5/day). | | The integrality of this filed article is for Premium Members. | The organisers of three Motorcycle road Rallyes, in Belgium Italy and France, have announced friday in Paris that a new international championship will be created under the aegis of the FIM (International Motorcycle Federation).

Created on the model of the French Moto Tour, relaunch five years ago by the society Option Sports Evénements, this new championship will « probably scheduled in 2010 six events. If each year a new event is created. This championship will be not only for riders but also for manufacturers, and five differents categories will compete (mono-cylinders, Multi-cylinders, scooters, side-cars and classical bikes » said Eric de Seynes Option Director.
In 2007 this championship will start from Belgium the May 17, 18 and 19 with a trefoil run around the race track of Spa Francorchamps. Two special stage during the day one night stage on the gokart track by day. And two stage by night are scheduled. « For the coming years we envisage to make a real Belgium tour, who starts from Bruxelles to finish in Luxembourg with a stage in Flanders. » said Christian Juspin Director of the belgium society who make the race Degecom sprl.
Second event is scheduled in Italy from the 21 to the 24th of June, with stage on the race track of Adria near Venice. The road run will be near Francia Corta, via Brescia and Bario Terme (North Italy). « This is totally new, even if Italy is a mechanical sports country, Italians do not know yet this kind of event. » said Renato Zocchi director of Orizzonte and of the Italian Moto Tour.
The third event will take place in France, the Dark Dog Moto Tour, with a 1,5 point coefficient for the championship standing (30th firsts of the scratch standing will share 50 points) The Darg Dog Moto Tour will take place between Reims and Toulon, via Val-De-Reuil and Clermont Ferrand from the 5 to the 14th of October. The schedule is 2800 Km of special stages, 3 stage on race track, Croix-en-Ternois, Carole race track (near Paris) and Nevers Magny Cours, 11 special stages, 3 night stages and 3 chrono basis. Marc Fontan;, Organsator of the French event said that he was in collaboration with other countries like Spain, England or Germany and it could be a World Championship starting from 2008 with 4 interbnational events.
