Creation of an International Motorcycle Rallye Championship

The organisers of three Motorcycle road Rallyes, in Belgium Italy and France, have announced friday in Paris that a new international championship will be created under the aegis of the FIM (International Motorcycle Federation).

Second event is scheduled in Italy from the 21 to the 24th of June, with stage on the race track of Adria near Venice. The road run will be near Francia Corta, via Brescia and Bario Terme (North Italy). « This is totally new, even if Italy is a mechanical sports country, Italians do not know yet this kind of event. » said Renato Zocchi director of Orizzonte and of the Italian Moto Tour.
The third event will take place in France, the Dark Dog Moto Tour, with a 1,5 point coefficient for the championship standing (30th firsts of the scratch standing will share 50 points) The Darg Dog Moto Tour will take place between Reims and Toulon, via Val-De-Reuil and Clermont Ferrand from the 5 to the 14th of October. The schedule is 2800 Km of special stages, 3 stage on race track, Croix-en-Ternois, Carole race track (near Paris) and Nevers Magny Cours, 11 special stages, 3 night stages and 3 chrono basis. Marc Fontan;, Organsator of the French event said that he was in collaboration with other countries like Spain, England or Germany and it could be a World Championship starting from 2008 with 4 interbnational events.
