This is the first 100% motorcycle movie festival, the Motostra was created in 2001 by the FFMC (French motorcyclists association), Moto Magazine and the Mutuelle des Motards (french insurance for Motocyclists), the aim was to promote two passions synonymous of freedom of expression.
For this seventh edition of this festival, six short movies are scheduled, with a little « best of » the greatest movies already shown, the presentation of « Wild Hogs », and also some animated movies for all.
The jury of this 7th Motostra will be composed by :
● Pierre William Glenn, president of the jury – Director of the movie « Le Cheval de fer » (Metal Horse), he was also photography director for (Truffaut, Fuller, Losey, Tavernier, Lelouch, Costa-Gavras…) and president of the Superior Technical Comission for Cinema.
● Jacques Godfrain – Mayor of Millau (or his representative)
● Marc Leblanc – Member of the National office of the FFMC
● Régis Henrion – Administrator of the Mutuelle des motards
● Etienne Garcin Marrou – Moto Magazine journalist
● Monsieur Oskola – Director of Millau movie theater « Les Lumières de la Ville »
● Michel Vaujelade – Manager of 6e Avenue motorcycle team
● Christian Archambeau – Movie producer
The Jury will gave prices to the best movies at the end of the festival. The trophies are made by an Artsit Jean-François André and the whole value of those are 4 000€.
Schedule :
Movies screening will take place at the movie theater « Les Lumières de la Ville », 15 Rue de la Condamine, at Millau (France). Movies and activities will be for all and most of all, for free!
Friday, July 6th :
20 h 45 : screening of « Wild Hogs », Free for Millau residents.
Saturday, July 7th :
13 h 30 : Official opening of the Motostra Festival
Screening of the short movies Motostra :
At : 13 h 30 – 15 h 30 – 17 h 30 – 19 h 30
Screening of « wild Hogs » :
At : 14 h – 16 h – 18 h – 20 h
