It was the first, fore sure smallest than Intermot of Cologne or EICMA of Milan, but the Ajaccio's Motorcycle show had the merit to exist.
A great Idea from students of the Finoisello technical school.

I know, you are actually wondering why we are talking about a so small event. Because Motorcyclists-online is based in Corsica, a small Mediterranean Island, and our small island is poor in Motorcycle events. So to perpetuate it, we talk about it.

So it was the idea of young students from the Finosello Technical school, business section.
It is the subject of their student prodject.
The aim was to administer, lead and communicate. The choice to make a Motorcycle show imposes to them, because there were no motorcycle show at all in Corsica.
After seven month of work, under the direction of their teacher Michel Vittini, students won the bet.

So we saw a beautiful Harley Davidson stand, with the latest V-Rod Night Rod, other models, softail and sportster, but also a bra,d new XB12S.

The night rod was very beautiful, and the engine was always hot, it just came back from a trying session...

The Other big Stand was the one of BMW with all the new motorcycle range exposed.
The most impressive was the 1200 GS covered by mudd, I thought that it was Tor Sagen's GS but no... just a dirty one... The new G séries was also exposed and the ST series.

The last big stand was Derbi and Husqvarna, a big 610 SM and a beautiful, attractive, and well make Derbi Mulhacén.

Around that many scooters, quads and two or three cars (but it is the first time so we will make like we did not see anything like things with four wheels...).
Well, yes it was quickly visited, yes it is small, but it mostly the fault of the Japanese sellers that would not take part of it.
I talked with Teacher Michel Vittini and met students, I had a very nioce moment with them and in this show.

So Congratulation to them and I sincerly Hope that next year it will be another one.
As small as it was it was a very nice motorcycle show.

About www.motorcyclists-online.com English version:
At the beginning, in 2001, www.motorcyclists-online.com was an exclusive French Motorcycle website. Now, since September 2005, it has become bilingual: English speaking people are welcome !
We do believe, at www.motorcyclists-online.com, that linguistic boundaries are not a problem when we share the same passion for bikes.
We are currently working on translating all articles and contents, to finish the UK/US version. You will certainly notice some bugs or translation errors: please do not hesitate to advise us by e-mail, Private Message or by posting in the Forum. Your help is welcome !
For the moment, articles which haven’t been human translated are automatically machine translated, which I must confess is not really famous, but faster than human translators.
