Christian:

"As a Kawasaki enthusiastic with a low budget for tuning my bike, I was looking for a way to have fun at low cost.

I choosed an old 1992 ZZR1100 which lied in a garage for two years: dirty, dust covered, it was however in quite a good condition despite its broken engine.
I made a fast todo list, checked what needed to be changed or repaired, and get the bike at home for a full dismantling. I cleaned and poslished the frame, wheels, swingarms, and many other parts.

Then I started to build the head fairing, keeping the zzr original structure and mount options. The windscreen is slightly reshaped.

Mirrors with integrated turn signals are taken from an Aprilia RSV 1000.

For the rear, I choosed the fairing, the lights and the seat from a Yamaha R1.

Turn signals are integrated and adjustable.
I made air intakes in the seat cover in order to cool the silencer (taken on a 2004 Honda CBR-1000).
I also shaped from scratch an underseat tray.

Then, I build the side fairing and rear wheel hunger from RSV 1000 parts. It seemed easy and simple, but I had to reshape the end of the frame, move the battery and the electric wiring.

The final touch was a Kawasaki Green and black painting, a full sticker set, and a lot of varnishing work.

It was fun to build this bike, and it's more fun to ride it ;-)
For a few Euros, and many work hours...

Coming next? a Nakano Carbon replica...
Christian".

About www.motorcyclists-online.com English version:
At the beginning, in 2001, www.motorcyclists-online.com was an exclusive French Motorcycle website. Now, since September 2005, it has become bilingual: English speaking people are welcome !
We do believe, at www.motorcyclists-online.com, that linguistic boundaries are not a problem when we share the same passion for bikes.
We are currently working on translating all articles and contents, to finish the UK/US version. You will certainly notice some bugs or translation errors: please do not hesitate to advise us by e-mail, Private Message or by posting in the Forum. Your help is welcome !
For the moment, articles which haven’t been human translated are automatically machine translated, which I must confess is not really famous, but faster than human translators.
