Read 7770 times (170/day). | | The integrality of this filed article is for Premium Members. | JJ2S is a polish company who created a new engine and builded the bike arround it, and this is what I call a damn impressive bike: 4 cylinders in X configuration, 500cc, 2 strokes, and a killer design.
Just two numbers? 110HP for 155kg dry weight...

The engine is for sure not the least exiting component of this bike: a 500cc, 2 strokes, liquid and oil cooled , 4 cylinders in X engine is not that common. The injection is made by Synerject and microprocessor controlled (as the ignition, alternator control and multisectionnal electric oil pump), bore x stroke is 56.4 x 50mm, and maximum power is 110HP at 8000rpm.
The frame is made from steel tubes, and the X engine is used as a part of the frame. At the front is an upside down 43mm fork , and two 320mm discs with 6 pistons callipers. At the rear we got a 240mm disc with 2 pistons calliper.
Front tire is 120/70 ZR17 on a 3.5" x 17" spokes rim. Rear tire is 190/50 ZR17 on a 5.50" x 17 " spokes rim.
Seat height is 800mm, wheelbase is 1341 mm, length is 1955 mm, width is 640mm, height is 1138 mm and dry weigh is 155kg. The fuel tank is 24l.

rdgelzer (08-04-2008): Don't be so certain that it is not Euro 4. Synerject has EFI systems but also makes 2stroke direct-injection systems for Orbital Corp's Air-Assist Direct Injection system. The latter is 3 star for CARB in marine engines. Orbital Combustion Process (OCP) has been used in smaller 2 stroke engines and patents have been filed for much larger motorcycle engine applications. This could be it! That would be a screamer and it would clean and lightweight to boot!
