The M1030M1 JP8/Diesel Military Motorcycle has been under development since 1998. It is designed to operate reliably and efficiently on Kerosene based fuels to include Diesel Fuel and Aviation Kerosene. HDT is under contract with the U.S. Marine Corps to delivery over 440 M1030M1s.

Engine type: 4-Stroke, IDI, single cylinder, liquid cooled.

The M1030M1E is a variant of the M1030M1.

It is specifically designed to meet the needs of both the UK and EU NATO countries. Production of both the M1030M1 and M1030M1E will begin in March of 2006.

Displacement: 611 cm3
Power: 28 PS [21 kw] @ 5500 rev/min.
Torque: 32lbft [44 Nm] @ 3000 rev/min.
Dry Weight: 380 lb [172 kg]
Acceleration: 0-30 mile/hr [48 km/hr]: 3.6 sec, 0-60 mile/hr [97 km/hr]: 10.4 sec
Maximum Speed: In excess of 80 mile/hr [130 km/hr]
Fuel Consumption: 110 mile/US gal [140 mile/Imp gal, 50 km/l] @ 55 mile/hr [88km/hr]
Range: 400 miles [650 km] @ 55 mile/hr [88km/hr]

At 48 PS, the M1030B1 Military Motorcycle is the most powerful production tactical military motorcycle ever put into service. The M1030B1 is currently in service with the U.S. Marine Corps, the U.S. Army, and the U.S. Air Force, but it's not a diesel: it runs on leaded/unleaded gazoline...
