Human-Friendly Transmission
Honda says "the newly developed and highly advanced automatic transmission system HFT (Human-Friendly Transmission) is not to be confused with conventional belt converter systems such as those used in twist-and-go scooters, or semi-automatic transmissions that manually shift between conventional gear ratios without using a manual clutch. Instead, it’s a fully developed hydro-mechanical transmission featuring a hydraulic clutch that automatically and seamlessly changes drive ratios, not just belt ratios.
So how does it work? A switch on the right-hand bar enables you to choose between Automatic (AT) and Manual (MT) transmission. AT offers two fully automatic and infinitely variable transmission modes - D (Drive) and S (Sports).

MT provides a push-button-selectable six-speed manual mode. "

About www.motorcyclists-online.com English version:
At the beginning, in 2001, www.motorcyclists-online.com was an exclusive French Motorcycle website. Now, since September 2005, it has become bilingual: English speaking people are welcome !
We do believe, at www.motorcyclists-online.com, that linguistic boundaries are not a problem when we share the same passion for bikes.
We are currently working on translating all articles and contents, to finish the UK/US version. You will certainly notice some bugs or translation errors: please do not hesitate to advise us by e-mail, Private Message or by posting in the Forum. Your help is welcome !
For the moment, articles which haven’t been human translated are automatically machine translated, which I must confess is not really famous, but faster than human translators.
