Hyosung unveilled their new RX450SM at the NEC. This all new supermoto motorcycle uses Hyosung’s own 450cc liquid-cooled single cylinder engine. The engine produces a claimed 50bhp at 8,500rpm. The tubular frame also acts as the oil tank for the dry-sump engine. The swingarm and subframe are in aluminium, and the dry weight of the RX450SM is 120kg. The RX450SM has a fully-adjustable rear monoshock and 45mm upside-down forks. Braking system is signed by Brembo: 260mm wave disc at the front and 250mm disc at the rear.
The corean streetfighter: GT650X. The bike benefits from a new tubular chromium molybdenum (CrMo) steel and aluminium frame and sharp design. The engine is the well known Hyosung 647cc 90 degree V-twin, with double overhead valves and four valves per cylinder. But on this bike, there is now a new electronic fuel injection: power output is 82bhp, torque is coming at lower revs (67Nm at 7,250rpm) and fuel efficiency is improved. Front brake discs are 300mm with radial mounted 4-piston callipers. Sounds good and cheap... I just can't help recalling what my father used to told me: when it's cheaper, it's more expensive...
