Yamaha XS-V1 Sakura prototype
Printable Version Written: 16/10/2007 : 11:11. Read 15798 times (19/day).
It will be officially presented at the Tokyo motorcycle show (from Oct. 27 to Nov. 11). Again in the « revival » style, Yamaha shows us a cafe racer pôwered by a good looking V-Twin engine, this is a prototype (not a concept) so it can be released soon...

This is the “XS-V1 Sakura” (special exhibition model / prototype).
This is a V-twin sport model with a look of “Japanese style” in the image of Yamaha’s first 4-stroke model, the XS-1 (650cc), released in 1970. Its design is full of XS-1 DNA, in its simplicity and functional beauty and finds new refinement in a retro-modern aesthetic. It is a model that proposes a very Yamaha and very Japanese vision of premium motorcycling life, bringing together the unique characteristics of a 1,000cc air-cooled, V-twin model with its strong pulse feeling and easy-going running performance in a finely crafted body that is lightweight and slim and defined by a low seat height.

Two questions are now in our minds : When ? and How much ?*

aceruser (23-10-2007): Yamaha build this bike!! I'm an old TR1 owner, this bike would have been better. Make it light, make it handle, make it grunty. This is better than the new Bonnie & the Sporty, the V1000 is a lovely motor. Fuel injection and loud exhaust a must. Make sure the seat's comfy. I'll buy it.

About www.motorcyclists-online.com English version:
At the beginning, in 2001, www.motorcyclists-online.com was an exclusive French Motorcycle website. Now, since September 2005, it has become bilingual: English speaking people are welcome !
We do believe, at www.motorcyclists-online.com, that linguistic boundaries are not a problem when we share the same passion for bikes.
We are currently working on translating all articles and contents, to finish the UK/US version. You will certainly notice some bugs or translation errors: please do not hesitate to advise us by e-mail, Private Message or by posting in the Forum. Your help is welcome !
For the moment, articles which haven’t been human translated are automatically machine translated, which I must confess is not really famous, but faster than human translators.
