Yes you red it correctly, its TurboDiesel, and no, it is not the new Polo TDI, but a motorcycle.
A whole new bike who comes from Germany, The Neander 1400 Turbo Diesel... 13 votes
Yes, its a cruiser, its heavy, strangely designed, and worst of all... Its a diesel!
So first, those who are already judging, stop talking and read carefully the specifications : 1430cc, 112 bhp @ 4200rpm, 214 Nm @ 2600 rpm...
The engine is a parallèle Twin (360°) featured with a common rail and a Turbo with intercooler. The whole package makes a compression ratio of 16 to 1. This engine was also made with a particularty, it has Two crankshaft by cylinder, in order to improve performance and avoid vibrations. But the most fun is the fuel consumption, only 4,5 litres for 100 Km...
Its a real diesel...
On the design part, we are completely in the German style, strange and unusual, but the most impressive is the chassis technical solutions like the front fork. A double front fork to be precise, and if its add some weight to the bike, it also provide a very sharpen handling, enven when you know that this bike weight 295Kg...
So the Neander 1400 is a "burning oil and tyre" cruiser, but which provide huge amount of torque and nice power.
At last leave me tell you the price of this Gasoil eater Beef, its around 65 000£ (132 000$)...nothing to add except this little Video made by MCN :

About www.motorcyclists-online.com English version:
At the beginning, in 2001, www.motorcyclists-online.com was an exclusive French Motorcycle website. Now, since September 2005, it has become bilingual: English speaking people are welcome !
We do believe, at www.motorcyclists-online.com, that linguistic boundaries are not a problem when we share the same passion for bikes.
We are currently working on translating all articles and contents, to finish the UK/US version. You will certainly notice some bugs or translation errors: please do not hesitate to advise us by e-mail, Private Message or by posting in the Forum. Your help is welcome !
For the moment, articles which haven’t been human translated are automatically machine translated, which I must confess is not really famous, but faster than human translators.
