We already present it ( HERE ) but when Ducati tell us that they have more picture of their flagship, it was impossible for us to not show you these.
At last for those who are too lazy to read the whole presentation, or those who missed an episode, remind that the Desmosedici RR is directly based on the Desmosedici GP6 who raced the 2006 MotoGp season with Sete Gibernau and Loris Capirossi.
Its frame is made of steel tubes, and its almost the same as the real MotoGP bike. The rear part and the whole body work are made of Carbon fiber. Suspensions are Öhlins, front and rear. The front fork has TiN coated sliders and is just a jewel. For the brakes, Ducati chose to apply the rain setting of the MotoGP Desmosedici, 330mm discs with monobloc brembo calipers Four pot and radially mounted!
Its heart; its soul, in a Four cylinders 90° V engine (L mounted in the frame), featured with four valves per cylinder and Desmodromic system (16 valves Desmodromic = Desmosedici) developped by Fabio Taglioni for Ducati. The 989cc engine delivers 200Hp (with racing CPU and Exhaust) and 11,8 Kgm of Torque. Mixing tradition and modernity, this egine is now MotoGP world champion in its 800cc version.
To not break your drea, the price is at the bottom of the page*. For sure, its expensive, but its the price of the exclusivity and magic. But I will go further and say, for me the Desmosedici RR, for all its features and special parts, adt engineering and all, is a better value for money than a Monster... think about it.
