Yes, the GSX-R 750 is not much than a 600cc GSX-R with 150cc added. Same chassis, suspensions, engine mappings and design features.. the same bike but with more power...

For the engine, Suzuki added to this GSX-R 750, the same evolutions that we could saw on the other sporty models of the brand. The Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (S-DMS, small recall : The rider can chose at any moment between three modes, A, B or C.

« A » for max Power and torque, « B » for power and torque more soft, and « C » for even less power and Torque).
It has new combustion chambers, new titanium valves, and a compression ratio of 12.8 to 1.
As on the 600, the GSX-R 750 has more closer gear ratio, and a crankshaft heavier to provide a better response. It also features a slipper clutch.

The chassis now, is exactly the same, at last for the conception, a steering column extruded, aluminium composite twin-spar and two swingarm stand.
Suspensions are made of a Showa front fork fully adjustable and linked with a electronic steering damper.

At the rear a monoshock also fully adjustable and features a two speed compression setting (fast or slow).
The 2008 model is also mounted with lighter aluminium alloy wheels and floatting discs with radial mounted four pot calipers.

super68 (21-05-2008): La versione Francaise a seulement mode B et C? Se "switchable" ( changeable a full power?) pour le circuit?

About www.motorcyclists-online.com English version:
At the beginning, in 2001, www.motorcyclists-online.com was an exclusive French Motorcycle website. Now, since September 2005, it has become bilingual: English speaking people are welcome !
We do believe, at www.motorcyclists-online.com, that linguistic boundaries are not a problem when we share the same passion for bikes.
We are currently working on translating all articles and contents, to finish the UK/US version. You will certainly notice some bugs or translation errors: please do not hesitate to advise us by e-mail, Private Message or by posting in the Forum. Your help is welcome !
For the moment, articles which haven’t been human translated are automatically machine translated, which I must confess is not really famous, but faster than human translators.
