The CBR is kind of mythical in the Supersport world. Radicalised years after years the 2008 version is now the meanest of all. With its technical features directly took from competition bikes, like the Honda Electronic Steering Damper handed down from Honda’s famed RC211V (MotoGP bike), or the centralisation of the fuel tank. Of course featured with radial mounted front brake calipers, the new CBR 1000RR Fireblade 2008 is also smaller, sharper, lighter and more powerfull with its new engine. New Styling Features - New lighter, more compact and curvaceous bodywork design places stronger emphasis on high-performance function over form (No comment). - New rear-view mirrors with integrated indicator lights. - New, more compact and aggressively stylish instrument panel design. - New ram air ports integrated into front cowl replace central intake above radiator for more efficient induction of cooler air at front of machine. - Smaller, lighter and more compact seat and tail cowl take design cues from the RC212V MotoGP racer, made possible by new underslungmass-centralised exhaust system. - Manual, toolbox & small HACE U-lock fit in compact locking tail cowl storage space. - Tail light/licence holder integrated into slim, one-piece resin moulding hanging under tail cowl.
