Paris Motorcycles Show: Voxan

The Voxan GTV 1200 was one of the few real new bikes unveilled at the Paris Motorcycles Show. I love Voxan, and I'm really sad today because of this GTV... A few words came to my mind when I saw it for real: « Oh my god!!! Why did they do THAT? »

Voxan, the french manufacturer, suffers from financial troubles for years despite some real good bikes.
I'm not sure this new GTV 1200 will really help them making a lot of money: do Voxan really believe they can compete the tourers from BMW, and the other japanese manufacturers?
The GTV comes with Givi cases, GPS, optional ABS, inverted fork, electrically adjustable rear monoshock, belft final drive, and a 1166cc V-twin: 106HP, 179kg.

This may sound good if the bike was not so ugly, and priced arround 17,000 euros...

However, the other Voxan bikes are still awesome: look at the Charade or at the Café Racer. And look also especially at the Stark Super Naked Café Racer: the true spirit of a naked café racer is here.

Let's hope Voxan will choose to follow this way rather than the GTV way...
