Bill Dube is the creator of the most powerful and fast electric bike in the world. During a presentation in Los Angeles, he unfortunately hit a van with it... 4 votes
But first let me tell you that he is currently OK, a little hurt but not badly.
The scene teke place in front of the conference center of Los Angeles California, after a short interview with TGDaily, Bill take the bike to make a little demo burnout, just to see show how the bike is powerful. Off course, no helmet or leather, just T-shirt, pant and mocassins shoes...
Unfortunately all went wrong and Bill Dube did not handle the bike and finaly end in van... He made a big jump to finaly land on his back. Quote from the official Killacycle website:"First off, I’m just a bit scraped up. Emabarrassed of course. I had not intended the bike to move in the soapy water, just spin the tire. Got it slowed down to about 20 mph. Front wheel is bent, as are front forks. Cowling is not nearly as pretty as it was. Battery box took a hit from the front wheel. Almost certainly, some cells were shorted. No smoke. No fire. Ultra safe cells. Had these been anything but A123 Systems Nano-phosphate cells, shorts would have caused a serious fire. No major damage. We will have is fixed in short order.
Yes, I am an idiot. :-/"
A So, i guess tyou are currently asking yourself about what is lying in this muted and non-polluant Dragster? Just A123 Systems lithium-ion batteries, generating the most powerful electric pulse never seen, and an electric engine thet can make this bike go zero to 60 miles-per-hour in a mind numbing .97 seconds. It also has a top speed of 158 MPH and 1/4 miles is done in 8.168 sec...
The funny thing of this story is the name of the bike : « Killacycle », and this is not a joke.
