At the almost highest level of productivity and efficiency for Ducati, Federico Minoli decided to quit the factory (or someone decided for him), Ducati is in very good shape financialy and also in sports side. But the shareholders of the group seemed to have decided that the faith of Minoli and Ducati has to stop here.
Minoli said : « I will leave the Ducati group May 21st. My successor will be a person who will be more close to the shareholders. I was put here by the Texas Pacific Group, former owner of Ducati. »
Ducati is now owned by « Invest Industrial », an italian investissement group who owns Ducati at 100%.
He added that « It's a good time to leave the company, because Ducati is back on track for growth and profitability, with new products like the Hypermotard or the 1098 »
Minoli said also that every single employee was very brave and devoted to put Ducati on the good way during the begining of his mandate : « Everybody had to tighted his belt to get back at this leve especially during the 2000/2003 years, everybody was good and did a great job to biring this factory to the sicces. »
Federico Minoli is nevertheless conscious of the good things he brought to Ducati with his team, and before starting to work with the foundation Rider For Health he said : « I leave the factory very happy because Ducati has a great future and that is also due to my action and my team.
« and a thing is sure, is that Ducati will always stay in my heart. »
At last he is giving an indication for the one who will replace him in his chair of president, Minoli said « He will be a real Ducatist », for the moment its all we know.
