And so is the new CG of the 1188R. It is based on the information that we have had for a while now that the R version of the new 1098 will indeed be a 1200, 1188cc to be excact.

The CG is based over a 1098S with Ohlins suspension, superlight wheels and the same radial monoblock Brembo brakes as the 1098. Simply because those Brembo's are already the best. our designer have also added some tasty white to the single seat rearend. Performance wise it is difficult to say yet exactly what the production 1188R will produce. But with what the 1098 can do, you can only imagine what the extra CC will do for the range topping superbike. The question will be whether the 1188R will be capable to go around a circuit faster than or just as fast as the Desmosedici RR roadbike.
