Aprilia NA 850 Mana goes into production (2007-09-20)

It has a 90° V twin engine, partner for this type of gearbox. It is Euro 3 compliant, thanks to the electronic injection and exhaust with catalytic converter. There is no clutch lever. Everything is controlled electronically, leaving the rider free to enjoy the ride. The sequential gear change is controlled by a convenient command on the handlebars, or alternatively by a traditional pedal command.
The tubular steel trellis frame is extremely strong with excellent torsional rigidity.

Combined with a single-piece aluminium swingarm and advanced suspension.

special features of the design:
1 90°V engine, four valves per cylinder, Euro 3 compliant
2 Sequential gear change, electronic control with the possibility of manual operation with seven gears or automatic operation with three mappings.
3 Double spark plug ignition
4 Electronic fuel injection with single throttle body
5 Tank under seat
6 Helmet compartment for full-face helmet
7 Steel trellis frame with single-piece swingarm
8 43 mm upside down fork
9 Side shock absorber
10 Brakes with radial calipers

THE DESIGN
A sports naked in appearance, but capable of unique versatility. As on any Aprilia naked, the technical elements also become design elements. Engine, tank, airbox, frame and exhaust all help give the NA 850 Mana its special character and the personality.
The tank is located lower down under the seat, helping centralise masses and lower the centre of gravity. Its "traditional" place is taken by a helmet compartment able to accommodate a full-face helmet and other objects.

The compartment is unlocked electrically by means of a control on the handlebars, a safety lock which prevents accidental opening.

About www.motorcyclists-online.com English version:
At the beginning, in 2001, www.motorcyclists-online.com was an exclusive French Motorcycle website. Now, since September 2005, it has become bilingual: English speaking people are welcome !
We do believe, at www.motorcyclists-online.com, that linguistic boundaries are not a problem when we share the same passion for bikes.
We are currently working on translating all articles and contents, to finish the UK/US version. You will certainly notice some bugs or translation errors: please do not hesitate to advise us by e-mail, Private Message or by posting in the Forum. Your help is welcome !
For the moment, articles which haven’t been human translated are automatically machine translated, which I must confess is not really famous, but faster than human translators.
