Many details have been copied from the unique sports version F41000R and in its naked form, its sheer beauty is even more exposed when under the stage spotlights. The Brutale 910S frame made from chrome-molybdenum steel tubing follows the lines of the original one on the 750cc. The front end is looked after by Marzocchi Magnum hydraulic forks with rebound-compression damping and spring preload adjustment. These forks feature a quick-release mechanism for the wheel. The lower triple clamp is a delight to the eye and, thanks to its curvature, increases air-flow to the radiator. Rear suspension is looked after by an adjustable Sachs single shock absorber with rebound-compression damping and spring preload adjustment.
Braking at the front is via two specially made six-piston (opposed) "Nissin F4" calipers (with differentiated diameters) acting on 310 mm discs. The rear brake remains an unchanged four-piston (opposed) caliper unit acting on a 210 mm disc. The Nissin-designed front brake and clutch levers are exclusive to MV Agusta and can be micrometically adjusted. The star shape of the 17" rims remains unchanged on the Brutale 910 and the tyres are either the new Pirelli "Super Corsa Pro" or equally high-performance Michelin Pilot Power. Tyres are 120/70 ZR 17 or 120/65 ZR up front and 190/50 ZR 17 or 180/55 ZR 17 at the rear. A new 190/55/17 developed exclusively by Pirelli for MV Agusta is also possible.

The new Brutale engine copies to some extent the configuration of the F41000R, especially in reaching the difficult benchmark of complying with Euro 3 standards. Briefly, the Magneti Marelli 1.6M ECU is replaced by the 5SM for a complete engine management overhaul. This has led to considerable advantages in terms of performance that can be compared with what happened to the sports F41000S that is now retired and the 2006 version of the F41000R. From the latter, the Brutale engine got the new intake valve angles that are now 10.15° instead of 9.5°. It also got new bimetallic valves and pistons from the F4R giving it another 2 CV maximum power output and especially better overall delivery at all engine speeds. Euro 3 homologation called for the introduction of a classic lambda probe positioned inside the exhaust immediately after the catalyser. For this reason, the exhaust system is now a one-piece system as opposed to the original three-piece unit. The engine has also been fitted with a new secondary air intake system (take a look at the 2007 MV Agusta F4 1000R article). The ECU is now positioned behind the cylinders where the airbox cover used to be. This has allowed the airbox to be increased in size. Periodical CO checks are no longer necessary as the lambda probe adjusts itself.
Performances From the performance point of view, the new 910 engine outstrips the previous version both in terms of delivery and maximum power output. Superb tuning of the four-cylinder engine has created a substantial increase in the maximum torque available. This has increased from 7.9 Kgm at 10,500 rpm from the 750cc engine to 9.8 Kgm at 7,900 rpm.  The most impressive fact however when compared with the 750 is the increase in mid-range power. +21 CV at 5,000 rpm, +24 at 7,000 rpm and +29CV at 8,000 rpm where the 910 puts out its maximum torque. The engine then goes on up to 11,000 rpm at which point the maximum power output of 139 CV is reached. Although the maximum speed for this type of machine is a rather secondary matter, it has increased by 7 kph.  The increased smoothness provided by the extra capacity, means better fuel consumption than the 750 in both the urban and extra-urban cycles.
