Triumph is expected to expand the Rocket III flagship range further but this time the Hinckley firm has done more than just whack on another layer of paint and footboards.
Triumph has not got a full on tourer in its range and being in love with the US Triumph needs a big tourer to rival the Honda Gold Wing and Harley-Davidson Ultra Glider. With the Rocket III as a basis it is more likely that a British GT will be styled more like the big Harley than the Gold Wing. This way Triumph does not have to develop for years and years as the bike will be expected to tour many miles comfortably in a straight line as the Gold Wing arguably out-handles the Rocket III in present form. Triumph can then keep the mega sized 240 rear tyre and chassis geometry much as it is today. All that is left then is to add a huge front fairing and hard panniers. TS/CG by Robert O’Brien

About www.motorcyclists-online.com English version:
At the beginning, in 2001, www.motorcyclists-online.com was an exclusive French Motorcycle website. Now, since September 2005, it has become bilingual: English speaking people are welcome !
We do believe, at www.motorcyclists-online.com, that linguistic boundaries are not a problem when we share the same passion for bikes.
We are currently working on translating all articles and contents, to finish the UK/US version. You will certainly notice some bugs or translation errors: please do not hesitate to advise us by e-mail, Private Message or by posting in the Forum. Your help is welcome !
For the moment, articles which haven’t been human translated are automatically machine translated, which I must confess is not really famous, but faster than human translators.
