A new Brutale... At first glance, there are no visual differences between this new 910 and the 750cc, except the fuel tank logo. If you also look at the engine, there is no real size difference with the 750cc whereas this is a 909cc... Where are the extra 160cc??? Where is the new bike???
The new engine shares some components with the F4-1000 engine, and it is not wider than the 750 engine. Bore and stroke are increased from 73.8mm x 43.8mm to 76.0mm x 50.1mm : we get a massive 9.8 kgm torque and 136 HP which are echoed in the incredible exhaust tone from the four-cylinder, radial-valved engine. The famous lightness, cornering capacity and style remain unchanged. The Brutale is a defiant combination of technical design and art. 910: Magic in motion !
Let’s have a look to the curves: torque increases from 7.9kgm at 10,500 rpm to 9.8 kgm at 7,900 rpm, and power increases from 20 to 29 HP from 5,000 to 8,000 rpm, reaching its max power (136HP) at 11,000rpm.
The Brutale 910's frame comes from the 750 : chrome-molybdenum steel tubing structure, single-sided swingarm, 50mm Marzocchi Magnum inverted fork in front and Sachs single shock absorber behind (spring preload, rebound and compression damping adjustments on both, plus wheels quick release mechanism).
Brakes are directly from the F4-1000 : dual 310mm discs with Nissin 6 pistons callipers at the front, 210mm disc with 4-piston opposed callipers. Front brake and clutch lever are designed by Nissin and micrometrically adjustable.
The star-shaped rims are taken from the 750. Tires can be either Pirelli SuperCorsa or Michelin Pilot Power: 120/70-17 or 120/65-17 at the front and 190/50-17 or 180/55-17 for the rear...
Footpegs are taken from the F4-1000 and are also adjustable.
