Road test: 2008 Triumph Speed Triple 1050 – Sharper Speed Triple
How do you improve something that’s already as good as the Speed Triple? Well, there were a few issues with the Nissin radial brakes; the seat wasn’t comfy enough for pillions so Triumph justified a re-launch for its superstar.

2008 Moto Guzzi V7 Classic – V7 in the Italian Alps

Moto Guzzi has pulled another classic model name out of its hat. The V7 Classic is a 70’s inspired roadster that means the same to Moto Guzzi as the Bonnie does to Triumph. I had a very pleasant acquaintance with the small 750 in the Italian Alps.

Track test: 2008 Bimota DB7 1098 launch – Brute force À la carte

Pick the best from the best, machine it and bolt it together by hand and voila you have a Bimota. The DB7 oozes of exclusivity from the design to the choice of the 160hp Ducati Testastretta 1098 engine. I got the chance to ride Bimota’s first superbike since the SB8R on Misano.

First look: ALPINESTARS BIONIC NECK SUPPORT

The Alpinestars Bionic Neck Support (BNS) is a structure which is designed to work with a helmet to reduce the risk and severity of a catastrophic neck injury (ie. A paralyzing injury). While no product can guarantee protection from all motorcycle injuries, due to the varied dynamics of accidents, the BNS is designed to substantially reduce the likelihood of a career ending neck injury although it must be stated at the outset that it, as with other such systems, may not prevent injuries occurring in all cases.

Road test: 2008 Bimota DB6R Delirio – Naked fantasy!

DB6R from Bimota is like strawberries and double cream for the senses. Delirio is tighter than glue and more obedient than a Chinese beurocrat. Purely made for fun and fun only!

Since 2004 Benelli have been run at a loss of several million Euros. With the TNT 899, Benelli hopes to break it even in 2008. The TNT 899 is a dream naked and during our test a sweet dream. Going up the box, the new 899 is ferocious!

Test CR&S Vun: what else?

On May 19 2008, CR&S organized the first CR&S Track Day at the Ecuyers track (Beuvarde, France). After 6 hours in a ferry boat and another 8 hours on French motorways and their innumerable speed radars, I finally reached the almost brand new Ecuyers track. Cloudy and cold weather, but no rain. I'm not exactly in a fresh condition, but seeing the many Vuns (differents technical configurations and paints schemes) makes me happy.

Road Test: 2008 Harley-Davidson XR 1200 launch – Harley’s proposal to Europe!

The XR 1200 has been a long time coming. I was there in Cologne when it was first unveiled to the world in 2006. In Valencia in 2008 I finally got my first chance to ride it. When did you ever see a standard Harley-Davidson being wheelied? The answer unless your name is Craig Jones is never!

Aprilia really have acquired some top supermoto experience since the SXV was launched in 2004. Aprilia have added some of that racing know-how to the Dorsoduro and it’s a much more aggressive motorcycle than the Shiver! Dorso means hard in Italian…

About www.motorcyclists-online.com English version:
At the beginning, in 2001, www.motorcyclists-online.com was an exclusive French Motorcycle website. Now, since September 2005, it has become bilingual: English speaking people are welcome !
We do believe, at www.motorcyclists-online.com, that linguistic boundaries are not a problem when we share the same passion for bikes.
We are currently working on translating all articles and contents, to finish the UK/US version. You will certainly notice some bugs or translation errors: please do not hesitate to advise us by e-mail, Private Message or by posting in the Forum. Your help is welcome !
For the moment, articles which haven’t been human translated are automatically machine translated, which I must confess is not really famous, but faster than human translators.
